 EZ OMNIC

EZ OMNIC's simplified interface is an excellent alternative for operators who do not require the advanced options found in a full-featured spectroscopy package such as OMNIC. It is ideal for use in QA/QC applications, educational institutions or any environment where simplified operation is required.

Features of EZ OMNIC include the ability to: collect and store data, run external programs and macros, run quantitative analysis methods, perform spectral subtraction, baseline correct, peak pick, blank and normalize. Also, the user can integrate with add-on software such as Basic Quant, TQ Analyst, Val-Q, Interpretation Guide, Bibliography, Microview, Quant Pad and Integra. Common data formats (Grams, JCAMP, ASCII, Perkin-Elmer Spectrum, CSV, PC-IR, old Nicolet SX and DX files, Lab Control Spectacle, TIFF and Windows Metafiles) can be opened with Easy OMNIC.

Users can learn from the Beginner’s Guide to FT-IR, Getting Started Tutorial, Choosing a Sampling Technique Tutorials, Smart Accessories Tutorials and Spectrometer Tour. It is also possible to search Nicolet's Introductory Spectral Library of over 600 spectra or to search any commercial library from Thermo Nicolet. Quality control libraries can be built and used. A Library Creation Wizard is include for building your own spectral databases.

EZ OMNIC enables to user to recognize smart accessories, to specify and use Spectral Quality Checks and to monitor the spectometer's critical component status. Multi-media tools can be used for instrument trouble shooting, replacing parts and installing hardware. Data can be printed out and is protected by user password and logins.
